I did my first tour in Chinese! I have been learning the versatile language of the Middle Kingdom for five years now. Tina Tegethoff, Category Lead Buyer at EMSA GmbH in Emsdetten and at the same time a long-time comrade from the Chinese course, hosted a delegation of Chinese colleagues from various business areas of Groupe SEB. The EMSA brand is known internationally: https://www.emsa.com/
Anabaptists, bomb war, Münster today - the highlights for the guests from China
In a mixed group of Chinese and Germans, we took a tour of the old town of Münster in the evening. I showed the friends from China some exciting sights and told them about the eventful history of the city - in their mother tongue. After the walk across the cathedral square and the Prinzipalmarkt, the meeting with Jan van Leyden and the Anabaptists was on the agenda. The destruction of the city by the bombs made a strong impression on the visitors and evoked associations with their homeland: China suffered massively during the Second World War under the Japanese invasion. Of course, the guests also wanted to know why there are bicycles on every corner in Münster.
Tour in Chinese: New possibilities for adventure Münster
After this special tour, a delicious dinner with traditional Westphalian dishes awaited us all. I am very pleased that with the new tour I can now cover a very special niche in the tourist offer for Münster and decisively expand my linguistic repertoire. I have had many varied experiences with the Chinese language. In addition to the language course at the Volkshochschule Münster, I completed two intensive courses at the Ruhr University Bochum and travelled China and Taiwan intensively several times. I can now apply my knowledge in a professional environment. I would also be happy to work out a programme in Chinese for your group.
I have already conducted successful tours through Münster with several groups in Chinese - each time, the exchange with the guests from Asia was a special moment for me.
